Jon & Becky Liles

Jon and Becky met at church and the rest is history...

We have been married 27 years!  We are from the Springfield, Missouri area where we both grew up and attended school. We both come from strong Christian homes where the marriages of our grandparents and parents have been life long commitments and are a great source of blessing to us.  We also come from a wonderful heritage of Baptist believers who taught us how to search Scripture and pray as we seek God. We are so thankful and believe God often uses our backgrounds to understand and communicate better in Italy. We were both very active in our local churches demonstrating early on the spiritual gifts necessary for cross cultural church planting. We love each other, our children, and the work God has called us to in Italy and look forward to many more years together by His grace.  We believe a lifelong commitment to each other is only possible as we know the love and forgiveness of God through Jesus Christ.   We look to the Bible as our primary source of instruction and motivation for marriage, parenting, relationships, and church life.

We love Italy!  We have many friends in Italy and love that God has called us to minister in Rome. We LOVE Italian food, cappuccini, studying the language and culture together, living close to the beach and the mountains, taking evening strolls in our neighborhood, and bumping into friends at Monday market.  Most of all, we love our friends in Italy and the opportunity to introduce the Jesus of the Bible.  We believe the Bible contains the core motivation and mandate for why we exist in Italy and how the church should exist in todays’ world.
